A tour of the lower parts

I thought I’d take you for a tour of the lower parts of the garden including the forest garden. No commentary, let’s just listen to the birds and observe. In the first video, I unexpectedly stumble on a willow warbler (løvsanger), my first in the garden this year, foraging on the ground in the cold weather….you can otherwise hear singing redwing (rødvingetrost), great tit (kjøttmeis), fieldfare (gråtrost), meadow pipit (heipiplerke), house sparrow (gråspurv) and blue tit (blåmeis) in one of the two videos.

Spring again

Yesterday at dawn sounded like spring again in the garden and I heard both woodpigeon (ringdue), robin (rødstrupe), chiffchaff (gransanger) and the two in the videos. The first is garden warbler (hagesanger). I’ve only registered this species in the garden a couple of times before and never so late! In the second video is a willow warbler (løvsanger). I can’t remember hearing this species singing in autumn either before.

New wave of migrants

There was a big arrival of African migrants in the night and this morning I registered my first pied flycatcher (svarthvit fluesnapper) singing in the garden, a group of 5 swallows (låvesvale) hunting insects and a willow warbler singing and flycatching!
