Sweet potato harvest in mid-March

It’s too cold in summer here to grow reasonably sized sweet potatoes – last year I grew in a large pot which I moved into the living room. Have been harvesting the shoots as a vegetable all winter and today harvested the roots. Leaving for New Zealand on Tuesday, a country where fish and kumara chips is common! And I’ll also be visiting a place called “Sweet Potato” : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumara,_New_Zealand
