In the wild part of the garden, one of my goat willow (selje) trees, important for the garden’s biodiversity, is halfway down after yesterday’s storm 🙁 This is what is called a “rotvelt” (root throw?) in Norwegian where the tree doesn’t break but the whole root system peels off the rock below.
Almost all the 1/2 metre of snow we had a few days ago has gone and there’s no frost in the soil.
