Snow showers all day…perfect skiing weather but I couldn’t get to the skiing area (technical difficulties…)
Every morning a large flock of Jackdaws / kaie fly past the house on the way to farmland to the east where they feed during the day…it happens very quickly so difficult to film. This morning I was filming the view of a snow shower over the fjord and the flock arrived, so I quickly started filming…
It was a false alarm when I wrote last week that the sun had set and wouldn’t rise again until mid-January. From my desk in the living room I noticed a bright light through my indoor forest garden…the sun rose and set again in the course of 2 minutes… :)
My Udo (Aralia cordata) has crushed two blackcurrant bushes….
Woke up to this view at 5 am….still a shock to see new snow at the end of April, but not unusual…this weekend’s plans to sow and plant in the garden may have to wait until my return from my forthcoming trip to Southern Norway, Sweden and Denmark or maybe I should just abandon annuals altogether…
