In July 2011, I noticed that a beautiful black-flowered broad/fava bean had appeared amongst my Crimson-flowered broad beans (a UK heritage variety that I’ve grown for some years)!
In July 2016, another black-flowered bean appeared (the bottom picture below)
Sooooo cool. I only knew of the wild white with a black dot, and the red types. Black Russian has black seeds, if you’re interested.
I did have black russian but I think I’ve lost it, so yes we could trade this winter if you like. I don’t know how if I will have many seed of the black one yet as there’s only one plant
