Picardo Farm P-Patch, Seattle

Last on the agenda for my first full day in Seattle was a visit to the P-patch Community Gardens (Picardo Farm). This was the original P-patch (originally standing for Picardo-patch, but nowadays the P stands for a Parcel of property). There are now 56 P-patches in Seattle (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-Patch). Picardo has 281 plots and was established in 1973! The first impression apart from the luxurious growth is how well ordered it is, due to the strict law of keeping up your plot or get thrown out.
