A record March Extreme Salad

30th March 2014 and the extreme salad man was having fun putting together an 81 ingredient salad….and here are some pictures :) The tubers that look like larvae are chorogi or chinese artichokes (Stachys affinis), one of the joke plants put into salads in the Victoria era (and in modern times in Malvik) to play a joke on folk. This year I doubt there will be so many greens to harvest outside as it’s been a cold winter and the soil is frozen deeply and anyway I will be eating sansai in Japan on that date!
