Welcome to my new seed trade list for 2023-24
21, 22, 23 indicate the harvesting year for the seed. Concerning seed quantity: as I don’t have many plants of each species, seed quantity is limited in most cases. Therefore, for some species you may only get a few seeds. Many species are harvested in my garden. Others are surplus from trade and purchase. OUT: Means out of stock. NB! Cultivars do not always come true (EX signifies that the seed were collected from that cultivar, but you won’t necessarilly get that). I offer them anyway, but no guarantees to what you will get!
NOTE: I don’t sell seed and I won’t be doing many trades this winter due to a busy schedule. However, I offer all plus many more to members of Norwegian Seed Savers (KVANN). To become a member go to http.//kvann.no and click on “Bli med”. It costs kr. 300 / year plus postage and packing.
For trades, I am mainly interested in uncommon hardy perennials, but I may also be interested in annuals.
NB! Not all plants in this list are edible, although almost all are!

THE NEW EDIMENTALS SEED TRADE LIST FOR 2022-2023
WELCOME TO MY NEW SEED TRADE LIST FOR WINTER 2022-23, THIS YEAR WITH 338 CHOICES
20, 21, 22 indicate the harvesting year for the seed. Concerning seed quantity: as I don’t have many plants of each species, seed quantity is limited in most cases. Therefore, for some species you may only get a few seeds. Many species are harvested in my garden. Others are surplus from trade and purchase. OUT: Means out of stock. NB! Cultivars do not always come true. I offer them anyway, but no guarantees to what you will get!
NOTE: I don’t sell seed and I won’t be doing many trades this winter due to a busy schedule. However, I offer all plus others to members of Norwegian Seed Savers (KVANN) through our spring (February) “yearbook” and autumn catalogue. To become a member go to https://kvann.no/bli-med. It costs only kr. 250 / year plus postage and packing.
For trades, I am mainly interested in uncommon hardy perennials, but I may also be interested in annuals.
NB! Not all plants in the list are edible, although almost all are!
(The text in the list is at the moment only in Norwegian, but the botanical and cultivar names are included)

THE NEW EDIMENTALS SEED TRADE LIST FOR 2020-2021
WELCOME TO MY NEW SEED TRADE LIST FOR WINTER 2020-21, THIS YEAR WITH 334 VARIETIES
18, 19, 20 indicate the harvesting year for the seed.
However, I offer all plus many more to members of Norwegian Seed Savers (KVANN) through our spring (February) “yearbook” and autumn catalogue. To become a member go to https://kvann.no/bli-med. It costs only kr. 250 / year plus postage and packing.
For trades, I am mainly interested in uncommon hardy perennials, but I may also be interested in annuals.
NB! Not all plants in this list are edible, although almost all are!

They were adopted by commercial growers beginning in the 1980s and marketed under the name “Anasazi”; traditionally they were known by the Spanish names frijol conejo (rabbit bean), vaquita (little cow), or pajaro carpintero (woodpecker)

THE NEW EDIMENTALS SEED TRADE LIST FOR 2019-2020
Updated 24th Feruary 2020
WELCOME TO MY NEW SEED TRADE LIST FOR 2019-20, THIS YEAR WITH 390 VARIETIES
17, 18, 19 in brackets indicates the harvesting year for the seed. NB! Traditional vegetables are at the end of the list with (mostly) common English names first.
NOTE: I don’t sell seed and I won’t be doing many trades this winter due to a busy schedule. However, I offer all plus many more to members of Norwegian Seed Savers (KVANN) through our spring (February) year book and autumn catalogue. To become a member go to http.//kvann.no and click on “Bli med”. It costs kr. 250 / year plus postage and packing.
For trades, I am mainly interested in uncommon hardy perennials, but I may also be interested in annuals.
NB! Not all plants in this list are edible, although almost all are!

Seed sorting
I’m working on this year’s seed trade list and seed to be offered to Norwegian Seed Savers through our yearbook that will be published in February. I normally throw out seed that is more than 3 years old with a few exceptions, the collection year is marked on the packets. My seed are sorted into different categories and stored in my cold cellar in recycled milk carton boxes and similar for ease of finding:
My seed categories are:
- Seed for Norwegian Seed Savers (arranged alphabetically according to botanical name)
- Traditional vegetable seed – different boxes for Brassica, Root crops, Beans and peas and other veggies (includes e.g., chicories, annual onions, chili, quinoa, squash, tomato etc.) (arranged according to common names)
- Potatoes (seed potatoes stored in my cold cellar in recycled egg cartons)
- Seed of miscellaneous annual edibles
- Seed of perennials for trading (own saved seed, seed from trades that I had too much of), arranged alphabetically according to the botanical name
- Seed for stratifying (to be sown as soon as possible)
- Bulbils / topset onions for seed savers and trading kept individually in sour cream / yoghurt pots
- Diverse tubers (individually in sour cream / yoghurt pots)
- Seed / bulbils for sprouting indoors during the winter (for food)
