Is ‘shavel’ just another name of common sorrel (Rumex acetosa) or is it the name of a subspecies, variety or group of cultivars?
I’ve just bought a plant with a danish name tag ‘Schavelsyre’=’shavel sorrel’ but I haven’t been able to find information on what plant it actually is. If it’s just the common sorrel it’s perfectly fine because – belive it or not – I don’t have it in my garden!
Bet regards,
Jesper
Yes, schavel just means sorrel in Russian….щавель
