050819: I dead-headed all the I(picture), A. vineale and A. oleraceum (bendelløk, strandløk, villøk) yesterday to stop them spreading. Scorodoprasum can produce better than leeks (purre) in colder plants of Scandinavia and there is evidence that this is the “garlic” (geirlauk) of the Vikings! It also has all the advantages of being perennial! I harvested 4 Norwegian land races of this one to be offered to members of Norwegian Seed Savers (KVANN)
