{"id":5172,"date":"2016-06-23T17:20:39","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T15:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=5172"},"modified":"2016-06-23T17:21:56","modified_gmt":"2016-06-23T15:21:56","slug":"most-northerly-overwintered-gunnera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=5172","title":{"rendered":"Most northerly overwintered edible Gunnera?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was surprised to see two Gunneras (both tinctoria\/chilensis and manicata) outside at the Ringve Botanical Gardens in Trondheim at the weekend. \u00a0Reidun Mork\u200b told me that they had used the same overwintering technique as they used at the Copenhagen Botanical Gardens, where she used to work. I knew exactly what she meant as I&#8217;d taking a picture in Copenhagen of this in early May (second picture). I&#8217;ve never seen overwintered Gunnera so far north before.
