This one was acccording to\u00a0<a id=\"js_sd\" class=\" UFICommentActorName\" dir=\"ltr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/christina.damerel?fref=ufi\" data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;;&quot;}\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/hovercard.php?id=1330964850&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22is_public%22%3Afalse%2C%22hc_location%22%3A%22ufi_admin%22%7D\">Christina Damerel<\/a>\u00a0only\u00a0about 5-6 years old. I was bowled over to see the cottagers kales when I visited 5 years ago, but hadn&#8217;t realised how big they could get. The pictures in the link above show plants that weren&#8217;t actually that old&#8230; The plant in the picture below has a similar stature to the Californian Tree Collards. Sam told me that the woodpigeons graze the higher leaves (you can see this in the picture), but the lower ones are left alone and are \u00a0also better tasting.
