{"id":3609,"date":"2016-02-03T21:38:51","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T20:38:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=3609"},"modified":"2016-02-03T21:39:24","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T20:39:24","slug":"appearance-at-hellens-garden-festival-in-much-marcle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=3609","title":{"rendered":"Appearance at Hellens Garden Festival in Much Marcle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"_45m_ _2vxa\" data-block=\"true\" data-offset-key=\"8a64m-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8a64m-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">Announcement of my appearance at the Hellens Garden Festival in a place with the unlikely name of Much Marcle on 12th June :) Really looking forward to it!!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"_45m_ _2vxa\" data-block=\"true\" data-offset-key=\"63fon-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"63fon-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"_45m_ _2vxa\" data-block=\"true\" data-offset-key=\"52i5-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"52i5-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">Apparently, I was introduced to this place when I was a youth,being inspired by Gilbert White&#8217;s Natural History of Selbourne as according to the Wikipedia page on the village: <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"_45m_ _2vxa\" data-block=\"true\" data-offset-key=\"b1k1j-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"b1k1j-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"_45m_ _2vxa\" data-block=\"true\" data-offset-key=\"fn81n-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fn81n-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">&#8220;About three miles north-north west of the village, on the eastern face of Marcle Ridge, a massive landslip, estimated at 60,000 cubic metres, took place over three days starting on 17 February 1575. Named &#8220;the Wonder&#8221;, it was so large that full-grown trees were carried down the slope onto an adjoining property.
