{"id":14694,"date":"2017-11-03T21:15:33","date_gmt":"2017-11-03T20:15:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=14694"},"modified":"2017-11-03T21:15:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T20:15:33","slug":"walk-and-talk-at-the-horticulture-centre-of-the-pacific","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=14694","title":{"rendered":"Walk and talk at the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"9qidn\" data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-0-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">So much has happened this year that I haven&#8217;t had time to blog about several places I&#8217;ve visited this year&#8230;.with a bit more time now I&#8217;m returning to my great trip to Canada in March and Victoria, BC. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"_247o\" spellcheck=\"false\" data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-1-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-1-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">Solara Goldwynn<\/span><\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"9r3rv-2-0\"><span data-text=\"true\">, a local Permaculture Landscape Designer (Hatchet &amp; Seed) had arranged a program for me including a walk and talk gig at the Garden of the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, just 12 km from downtown Victoria! It&#8217;s a relatively young garden but full of interesting plants (far more interesting than the nearby world famous Butchart Gardens which doesn&#8217;t even merit a blog post!). It&#8217;s non-profit community focused garden with sustainable management practices. &#8216;Scotland&#8217;s greatest ever ambassador!'&#8221; The Corkscrew Hazel was dubbed &#8220;Harry Lauder&#8217;s Walking Stick&#8221; because the comedian used a crooked branch cane during his
