{"id":12704,"date":"2017-07-20T18:46:46","date_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=12704"},"modified":"2017-07-20T18:46:46","modified_gmt":"2017-07-20T16:46:46","slug":"breeding-swifts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/?p=12704","title":{"rendered":"Breeding swifts?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Working in the garden today and I was surprised by two swifts flying low behind the house and one entered an old starling box on the outhous<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">e&#8230;.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been trying to attract swifts (t\u00e5rnseiler) for years to the house and have one swift box higher on the main house, but they chose this instead!<br \/>\nIn the video you can hear the bird &#8220;screaming&#8221; quietly and another sound&#8230;.could this be chicks?..strange I haven&#8217;t noticed this before, but I&#8217;ve been away a lot and I have seen two birds flying low in the same area a couple of times this summer (latest last weekend) and also last summer on several occasions (presumably prospecting).
