As my garden wasn&#8217;t in an optimal location climatically, I was interested to see offer these varieties for others to try. \u00a0I was active on a Norwegian \u00a0gardening forum called Hagepraten and offered a couple of tubers of each variety to forum members. \u00a0The varieties I had were\u00a0Bianca and Dagn\u00f8ytral (the only varieties that flowered here\u00a0and they were\u00a0most likely the same variety- few large tubers); Golden nuggett; Volgo 2 , Red Italian (from a market in Venice), Fuseau; and Hardy Mountain. Despite the fact that several had small tubers, I noted that\u00a0\u00a0they all\u00a0gave a useful crop. I concluded that I would try Golden Nugget, Hardy Mountain and Volgo 2 again.<\/p>\n<p>Norwegian (dette var min invitasjon til eksperimentet): <em>Jeg har 7 forskjellige sorter: Bianca og Dagn\u00f8ytral (eneste sortene som blomstret og de er mest sannsynlig samme sort &#8211; f\u00e5 men store knoller); Golden Nuggett (rett gyldne med rose skj\u00e6r, avlange knoller); Volgo 2(runde mange sm\u00e5 knoller), Red Italian (kronglete, r\u00f8d), Fuseau (en rett hvit sort som jeg har dyrket i flere \u00e5r; mange sm\u00e5 knoller); Hardy Mountain (r\u00f8d rett sort). Tross at flere av sortene hadde mindre knoller synes jeg at alle gav brukbar avling (ogs\u00e5 her i Tr\u00f8ndelag). Av de nye, ville jeg pr\u00f8ver Golden Nugget, Hardy Mountain og Volgo 2 igjen. Har tenkt det kunne v\u00e6re interessant med et lite fors\u00f8k blant oss her p\u00e5 hagepraten. Jeg kan dele ut et par knoller av noen av sortene til flere til utpr\u00f8ving.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t get much feedback from those that I sent tubers, the best report being this thorough one below from 2003 from Sverre H\u00e5skjold in \u00c5lesund. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t continue growing\u00a0Golden Nugget, Hardy Mountain and\u00a0Volgo 2 as they gave very poor yields in colder summers.
