In the mid-2000s I first noticed Blue and Great Tits hacking open the seed pods and devouring the seeds. In fact they were so quick that I started having problems find any intact pods (I save the seed to put on bread etc and also to swop seed). Today \u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.edimentals.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/P1040547.jpg\">Blue Tits \/ Bl\u00e5meis<\/a>\u00a0(Cyanistes caeruleus) were busy on the balcony and I also saw them eating cress seed for the first time!
