This mouthful of a plant is\u00a0a beautiful woodlander in the carrot family (I’ve seen it in botanical gardens in the UK) and the\u00a0young shoots were traditionally eaten peeled and raw in salads in the Spanish Pyrenees… \u00a0I posted this \u00a0picture of the strange triffid like spring shoots last year on FB to much amusement.<\/p>\n
