The leaf stalks and flower buds are eaten. It has naturalised here and there in Norway and can be invasive. I&#8217;ve planted it in a special bed from which it shouldn&#8217;t be able to escape. It&#8217;s been in a small pot so far and, as you can see, \u00a0was trying hard to get out&#8230; It&#8217;s subsp. giganteus we have in Norway and seed spreading is not known.\u00a0There&#8217;s also a variegated form, sometimes grown as an ornamental, and that is also rather aggressive.
