Two nuthatches (spettmeis) on the bird feeder this morning with a short guest appearance of a male chaffinch (bokfink) :) See the video below! A dark morning here, the sun has now set until it rises again around 14th January! Only secondhand sun now clipping the tops of the trees on Malvikodden:
Another unseasonally “balmy” day in Malvik! Despite a clear night, it was warm enough to breakfast in the garden at sunrise at 7:15 with a beautiful sunrise, joined by a couple of nuthatches and admiral butterflies already on the wing at 9 am! Sad to have to leave for the cooler south (Porsgrunn) on the night train tonight….
…appeared over the bay this evening at 21:30….muddy waters hugging the coast flowing from the stream that enters the bay after another day of heavy rain, a shadow of the house in the field and waves washing up on the shore! To the “little” things and beings! Happy trails!
